Draft Grade — Browns
Overall

FutureB+
Corley should have been long gone. The Browns pounced, and earned a B. The Browns did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Malachi Corley fell into the 138th pick. Good, not great, and the B says as much.
If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback. Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work. Job largely done: wide receiver settled and 5 of 9 of the wish list covered.
Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
Pick Analysis
Pick86
Rnd3
Brenden Rice
Brenden Rice slid further than he should have, and the Round 3 slot is lovely value for the wide receiver. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick99
Rnd3
Junior Colson
A linebacker of that caliber at No. 99 is the definition of value, full stop. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick132
Rnd4
Isaiah Adams
Good price on Isaiah Adams in the 132nd overall pick, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick138
Rnd5
Malachi Corley
They barely believed it either: Malachi Corley still on the board at Round 5, Pick 2. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick159
Rnd5
Max Melton
Max Melton in pick 159 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick197
Rnd6
Austin Stogner
They took Austin Stogner at par in the 197th pick, which is nothing to complain about. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick205
Rnd6
Michael Barrett
The board fumbled Michael Barrett all the way to pick No. 205, and they scooped it up. A want dressed up as a pick, at a spot they had covered.
Pick210
Rnd6
Ethan Driskell
Ethan Driskell at slot 210 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick231
Rnd7
Miyan Williams
They robbed the room for Miyan Williams here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
