Draft Grade — Raiders
Overall B+
ValueB NeedB TradesA+ FutureB+
The Raiders found their guy under center in Moore: B+.

Start where it matters. The Raiders took Dante Moore to run the offense for the next decade, and every other decision this weekend bends around that one. Call it a sensible B+, earned the boring way.

They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. Allar has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.

Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Rivers. They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

The York pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with edge rusher, running back and other spots still on the board.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.

Pick Analysis
Pick2 Rnd1 Dante Moore
In pick 2 they get a franchise quarterback. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick30 Rnd1 Arvell Reese
In No. 30 they get a green-dot type in the middle, outstanding value to boot. More want than need.
Pick36 Rnd2 Emmanuel Pregnon
A tidy little value on Emmanuel Pregnon in Round 2, Pick 4, a step better than break-even. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick62 Rnd2 Taurean York
Of all the spots to shop, they chose linebacker. Taurean York in slot 62 leaves edge rusher, running back and other spots for later.
Pick67 Rnd3 Michael Taaffe
Michael Taaffe in pick No. 67 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick102 Rnd4 Caleb Tiernan
Steal is underselling it; Caleb Tiernan at the 102nd overall pick is a heist with the alarm still ringing. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick117 Rnd4 Chandler Rivers
Chandler Rivers in the Round 4 slot is a gift, value that borders on unfair. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick125 Rnd4 Drew Allar
A real head-scratcher, Drew Allar in the 125th pick is miles ahead of his ranking. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick134 Rnd4 Domani Jackson
Value with a capital V on Domani Jackson in the 134th overall pick, a genuine coup. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick174 Rnd5 Chase Roberts
Chase Roberts slid further than he should have, and the Round 5 slot is lovely value for the wide receiver. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick182 Rnd6 Max Iheanachor
They read the board right and Max Iheanachor was the payoff at Round 6, Pick 1. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick185 Rnd6 Jalen Stroman
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Jalen Stroman at No. 185. Nice player, but the depth chart did not need him here.
Pick208 Rnd6 Kobe Baynes
Kobe Baynes slipping to the 208th pick is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
