Draft Grade — Packers
Overall B-
ValueC+ NeedC+ TradesB- FutureB-
No fireworks, just a tidy B- for the Packers.

When the story of this class is written, it opens with Evan Williams at slot 169, a reach of 63 spots that the board flatly disagrees with. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

They banked enough surplus on Magee to cover a lot of smaller sins. A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want.

The Oladapo pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with edge rusher, cornerback and other spots still on the board.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Pick Analysis
Pick25 Rnd1 Jackson Powers-Johnson
In slot 25 they get a long-term starter on the line at fair value. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick41 Rnd2 Edgerrin Cooper
By-the-book stuff, Edgerrin Cooper at the Round 2 slot squarely in line with his ranking. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick58 Rnd2 Javon Bullard
Javon Bullard at pick No. 58 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick88 Rnd3 Jaylen Wright
Jaylen Wright in Round 3, Pick 25 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick91 Rnd3 MarShawn Lloyd
They took MarShawn Lloyd at par in No. 91, which is nothing to complain about. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick126 Rnd4 Kitan Oladapo
A surprising call. With edge rusher, cornerback and other spots still to address, they spent the 126th overall pick on Kitan Oladapo, a safety they were not short of.
Pick169 Rnd5 Evan Williams
Evan Williams at pick 169 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. Stacking talent where they were already deep.
Pick202 Rnd6 Tylan Grable
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Tylan Grable. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick219 Rnd6 Jordan Magee
Jordan Magee at No. 219 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. A want dressed up as a pick, at a spot they had covered.
Pick245 Rnd7 Jacob Monk
A slide stopped in the 245th overall pick, with Jacob Monk worth more than the price. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick255 Rnd7 Jalen Sundell
They talked themselves into Jalen Sundell at pick No. 255, and the board did not agree. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
