Bronco DRAFTING FOR THEBroncos
Draft Selections
Draft Grade — Broncos

The Broncos did the meat-and-potatoes work well: B-. For all the names on the card, the loudest question went unanswered. The Broncos walked out of the weekend still thin at linebacker, a hole that has a way of deciding seasons.
Johnson falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. Tight end is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
The skill positions did well by the weekend.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
Pick Analysis
Pick30
Rnd1
Chris Bell
In the 30th pick they get a matchup problem out wide. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick62
Rnd2
Eli Stowers
A straight-up fair deal on Eli Stowers at pick No. 62, value and slot in agreement. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick94
Rnd3
Emmett Johnson
Emmett Johnson at the Round 3 slot is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. The roster fit checks out.
Pick108
Rnd4
Bishop Fitzgerald
A market-rate safety, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Bishop Fitzgerald. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick130
Rnd4
Kage Casey
Kage Casey at Round 4, Pick 30 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
