The Vikings robbed the room for Mitchell. Final grade: B. Somebody in the Round 3 slot was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Vikings sat still while Adonai Mitchell, the No. 32 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.
Reaching for Watts left real value on the table behind him. Leaving tight end unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The roster is better shaped than it was, with quarterback chief among the fixes.
Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the tight end spot they never got to.
