Draft Grade — Cardinals
Overall B
ValueB- NeedB TradesB- FutureA
No fireworks, just a tidy B for the Cardinals.

Somehow the biggest item on the list survived the weekend. The Cardinals never addressed quarterback, and it is the kind of gap that lingers.

Wilson has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. The hoard sets up next April more than it helps this September.

They went 4 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.

Pick Analysis
Pick18 Rnd1 Nate Wiggins
In pick 18 they get a ballhawk on the outside at fair value. Need was not the driver here.
Pick27 Rnd1 Jordan Morgan
In Round 1, Pick 27 they get protection for the quarterback. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick35 Rnd2 Chop Robinson
A market-rate edge rusher, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Chop Robinson. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick38 Rnd2 Kris Jenkins
Kris Jenkins in slot 38 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick49 Rnd2 Graham Barton
Graham Barton in the Round 2 slot is fair value, right on his grade. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick66 Rnd3 Johnny Wilson
They paid up for Johnny Wilson at pick No. 66 when waiting would have done the job. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick71 Rnd3 Roman Wilson
They jumped the gun on Roman Wilson, taking him earlier than his grade liked. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick90 Rnd3 Michael Hall Jr.
Michael Hall Jr. at the 90th overall pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick105 Rnd4 Leonard Taylor III
They took Leonard Taylor III at par in the Round 4 slot, which is nothing to complain about. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
