Draft Grade — Jaguars
Overall B+
ValueB- NeedB TradesA+ FutureB-
The Jaguars worked the phones like thieves and earned a B+.

Whoever sat across the table from the Jaguars should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B+.

They are betting Robinson proves the room right and everyone else wrong. A whole weekend of picks and linebacker is somehow still a want. Landing Melton that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but linebacker.

Pick Analysis
Pick24 Rnd1 Amarius Mims
In Round 1, Pick 24 they get a plug-and-play piece up front. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick48 Rnd2 Graham Barton
Graham Barton at pick No. 48 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick56 Rnd2 Kiran Amegadjie
Nothing to complain about; Kiran Amegadjie went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick79 Rnd3 Mike Sainristil
Mike Sainristil in the 79th pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick96 Rnd3 Darius Robinson
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Darius Robinson. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick115 Rnd4 Beau Brade
Good price on Beau Brade in the 115th overall pick, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick117 Rnd4 Luke McCaffrey
A real head-scratcher, Luke McCaffrey in the Round 4 slot is miles ahead of his ranking. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick125 Rnd4 Max Melton
Max Melton slipping to pick 125 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick152 Rnd5 Cedric Johnson
A premium they did not need to pay, Cedric Johnson a notch or two before his time. It is more luxury than necessity; they were already set here.
Pick195 Rnd6 Gabe Hall
A reach on Gabe Hall in slot 195; the board had better options right there. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick211 Rnd6 Trevor Keegan
Trevor Keegan at the 211th pick is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick234 Rnd7 Blake Watson
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Blake Watson in Round 7, Pick 14. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
