Draft Grade — Giants
Overall F
ValueF NeedB- TradesF FutureB
A weekend the Giants spent fighting the board, and losing. F.

The Giants looked at the value chart, folded it up, and took Antario Brown at No. 166 regardless, 290 picks early.

The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through interior defensive lineman.

About as rough as a weekend gets on paper, with interior defensive lineman still staring back at them.

Pick Analysis
Pick166 Rnd6 Antario Brown
Antario Brown at pick 166 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. It fills a real need, too.
Pick170 Rnd6 Jeff Sims
Jeff Sims in No. 170 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick186 Rnd6 Will Howard
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Will Howard well ahead of where he belonged. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick198 Rnd7 Will Rogers
They reached a country mile for Will Rogers at slot 198, and the board is aghast. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick216 Rnd7 Jake Garcia
Jake Garcia at the 216th pick is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. The roster fit checks out.
