There is conviction, and then there is this. The Steelers took Diego Pavia a full 38 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.

They banked enough surplus on Scott to cover a lot of smaller sins. That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Quarterback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Good work on the whole, with interior defensive lineman the one box left unchecked.
