Draft Grade — Dolphins
Overall C+
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesD- FutureB-
The Dolphins answered their biggest question with Moore. Grade: C+.

After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Dolphins committed. Dante Moore is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline. It lands right in the middle: a C+, no more, no less.

The Delp pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. Landing McNeil-Warren that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.

The Davis pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with wide receiver, edge rusher and other spots still on the board. A whole weekend of picks and wide receiver is somehow still a want.

In the end, one you will need a couple of seasons to truly judge.

Pick Analysis
Pick5 Rnd1 Dante Moore
In Round 1, Pick 5 they get the face of the franchise. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick36 Rnd2 Caleb Lomu
They jumped the gun on Caleb Lomu, taking him earlier than his grade liked. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick70 Rnd3 Colton Hood
A market-rate cornerback, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Colton Hood. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick76 Rnd3 Deontae Lawson
A clean, defensible pick in the Round 3 slot with a little surplus value in Deontae Lawson. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick105 Rnd4 Chase Bisontis
Chase Bisontis at slot 105 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick118 Rnd4 Tacario Davis
Of all the spots to shop, they chose cornerback. Tacario Davis in the 118th pick leaves wide receiver, edge rusher and other spots for later.
Pick130 Rnd4 Emmanuel McNeil-Warren
Steal is underselling it; Emmanuel McNeil-Warren at No. 130 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick144 Rnd5 Oscar Delp
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Oscar Delp well ahead of where he belonged. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
