Draft Grade — Patriots
Overall B-
ValueC NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
The Patriots let Sellers fall and pounced. Final grade: B-.

When a board-topper like LaNorris Sellers slides to pick No. 122, you do not overthink it, and the Patriots did not.

They will need Johnson to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. They left with edge rusher solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.

Pick Analysis
Pick23 Rnd1 Greg Johnson
In the 23rd overall pick they get a long-term starter on the line, though the board says they badly overpaid. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick54 Rnd2 Teitum Tuioti
They left a pile of value on the table to take Teitum Tuioti this early at the Round 2 slot. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick85 Rnd3 Duce Robinson
Steal is underselling it; Duce Robinson at the 85th pick is a heist with the alarm still ringing. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick122 Rnd4 LaNorris Sellers
A top-tier quarterback at a bargain, LaNorris Sellers in No. 122, plain and simple. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick160 Rnd5 Quincy Rhodes Jr.
Quincy Rhodes Jr. in pick 160 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick186 Rnd6 A.J. Harris
They robbed the room for A.J. Harris here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick210 Rnd6 Gunner Stockton
Gunner Stockton at slot 210 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick251 Rnd7 Justice Haynes
They barely believed it either: Justice Haynes still on the board at Round 7, Pick 30. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick257 Rnd7 Mason Curtis
Circle this one: Mason Curtis at slot 257 is a fall that decides a draft. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
