Draft Grade — Packers
Overall B
ValueA- NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
The steal of the weekend belongs to the Packers and Spears: B.

This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Dashawn Spears, the No. 57 name on the board, stolen at pick 114. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.

The Evans III reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. That cornerback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.

Pick Analysis
Pick52 Rnd2 Will Heldt
No drama and no debate, Will Heldt went about where he belonged in No. 52. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick87 Rnd3 Bryant Wesco Jr.
Bryant Wesco Jr. in slot 87 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. The roster fit checks out.
Pick98 Rnd3 Anthony Evans III
Anthony Evans III in pick 98 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick114 Rnd4 Dashawn Spears
Dashawn Spears in pick No. 114 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick124 Rnd4 Devan Thompkins
Circle this one: Devan Thompkins at the Round 4 slot is a fall that decides a draft. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick158 Rnd5 Terrance Carter Jr.
Taking Terrance Carter Jr. in Round 5, Pick 21 is close to grand larceny; a tight end that good had no business lasting this long. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick170 Rnd5 Myles Graham
The board fumbled Myles Graham all the way to the 170th pick, and they scooped it up. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick171 Rnd5 Koi Perich
They barely believed it either: Koi Perich still on the board at the 171st overall pick. A want more than a need, though you can never have too many.
Pick200 Rnd6 DJ Lagway
They will replay DJ Lagway at Round 6, Pick 20 for years; that is how good the value is. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick217 Rnd6 Kameryn Crawford
They robbed the room for Kameryn Crawford here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick244 Rnd7 Drew Azzopardi
Drew Azzopardi at No. 244 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
