Draft Grade — Falcons
Overall B
ValueA- NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
Grand theft in the 113th overall pick: the Falcons steal Frazier and grade out a B.

When a board-topper like Nate Frazier slides to the 113th overall pick, you do not overthink it, and the Falcons did not. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.

Leaving wide receiver unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.

Pick Analysis
Pick14 Rnd1 Carter Smith
In the 14th pick they get a building block for the line at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick45 Rnd2 Yhonzae Pierre
Yhonzae Pierre in Round 2, Pick 13 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick76 Rnd3 Jayden Maiava
Jayden Maiava in slot 76 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick113 Rnd4 Nate Frazier
Somehow Nate Frazier was still sitting there in the 113th overall pick, and they pounced on premier running back value. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick189 Rnd6 Drake Lindsey
Drake Lindsey in No. 189 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick218 Rnd6 Hollywood Smothers
Hollywood Smothers at the Round 6 slot is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick220 Rnd6 Braelin Moore
Steal is underselling it; Braelin Moore at pick 220 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick235 Rnd7 Tao Johnson
Tao Johnson at pick No. 235 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
