Draft Grade — Eagles
Overall B-
ValueC NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
No fireworks, just a tidy B- for the Eagles.

The Eagles treated their own grade as gospel and everyone else's as noise, spending pick No. 41 on Desmeal Leigh a full 120 spots early.

The Hampton pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.

Pick Analysis
Pick10 Rnd1 Dylan Stewart
In pick No. 10 they get a premier pass rusher. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick41 Rnd2 Desmeal Leigh
Desmeal Leigh at the 41st pick is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick97 Rnd3 Nyck Harbor
A conviction pick on Nyck Harbor at the 97th overall pick that the board grades a round light. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick115 Rnd4 Ashton Hampton
Somehow Ashton Hampton was still sitting there in the Round 4 slot, and they pounced on premier cornerback value. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick149 Rnd5 Xavier Atkins
Xavier Atkins in Round 5, Pick 12 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick159 Rnd5 Raylen Wilson
They robbed the room for Raylen Wilson here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. Stacking talent where they were already deep.
Pick166 Rnd5 Dom Nichols
The board fumbled Dom Nichols all the way to Round 5, Pick 29, and they scooped it up. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick230 Rnd7 Joseph Borjon
They will replay Joseph Borjon at pick No. 230 for years; that is how good the value is. The roster fit checks out.
Pick233 Rnd7 Kayin Lee
Taking Kayin Lee in the Round 7 slot is close to grand larceny; a cornerback that good had no business lasting this long. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
