Draft Grade — Eagles
Overall B-
ValueC- NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
The Eagles did the meat-and-potatoes work well: B-.

There was a run on nobody at that position, and the Eagles started one anyway for Jaishawn Barham, 48 picks ahead of schedule. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.

That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. They banked enough surplus on Koziol to cover a lot of smaller sins.

Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.

Pick Analysis
Pick23 Rnd1 Akheem Mesidor
In the Round 1 slot they get a bendy edge with upside, reach and all. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick54 Rnd2 Keyron Crawford
This one needs a full-page explanation: Keyron Crawford in No. 54, miles early. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick68 Rnd3 Jaishawn Barham
Jaishawn Barham in pick 68 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick98 Rnd3 Ted Hurst
Ted Hurst at Round 3, Pick 34 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick114 Rnd4 Bud Clark
Bud Clark slipping to pick No. 114 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick137 Rnd4 Mikail Kamara
They reached a country mile for Mikail Kamara at the 137th pick, and the board is aghast. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick178 Rnd5 Tanner Koziol
The board had Tanner Koziol higher than slot 178, and the tight end fell to them anyway. The roster fit checks out.
Pick197 Rnd6 Ephesians Prysock
Nothing to complain about; Ephesians Prysock went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
