Nobody else had Tanner Koziol anywhere near pick No. 24. The Browns did, by 132 spots, and that gap is the whole story. For now it grades a C+, with the swing picks left to settle the rest.

However the rest shakes out, Tate at that price is a win they earned. For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain. The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes.

If Caleb Downs and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.
