Draft Grade — Colts

The Colts robbed the room for Robinson. Final grade: B-.

Call it larceny. Duce Robinson sat on the board until pick No. 116, and the Colts did not need to be asked twice.

The cost of the Sprague reach is exactly the players who went right after him. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through tight end.

Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. The offense got the lion's share of the attention.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.

Pick Analysis
Pick42 Rnd2 Andrew Sprague
They left a pile of value on the table to take Andrew Sprague this early at the 42nd overall pick. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick73 Rnd3 Vicari Swain
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Vicari Swain at the 73rd pick is the proof. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick116 Rnd4 Duce Robinson
They robbed the room for Duce Robinson here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick150 Rnd5 Isaac Brown
The board fumbled Isaac Brown all the way to pick No. 150, and they scooped it up. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick172 Rnd5 Anthony Boswell
Anthony Boswell at Round 5, Pick 35 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick192 Rnd6 Cam Cook
Taking Cam Cook in slot 192 is close to grand larceny; a running back that good had no business lasting this long. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick221 Rnd6 Amare Thomas
Amare Thomas in the Round 6 slot is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick232 Rnd7 Dylan Raiola
Value with a capital V on Dylan Raiola in pick 232, a genuine coup. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
