Draft Grade — Chargers
Overall C+
ValueB- NeedB TradesD FutureB-
The Chargers drew a line under the quarterback search with Mensah: C+.

The Chargers spent the pick that matters most on Darian Mensah, and a roster that has been waiting on a passer can start to take shape. It nets out a thoroughly average C+.

The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

A perfectly average weekend, for better and for worse.

Pick Analysis
Pick2 Rnd1 Darian Mensah
In slot 2 they get the arm they will build around. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick33 Rnd2 Jadan Baugh
Jadan Baugh in pick No. 33 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
