You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Buccaneers did exactly that with Kalil Alexander in the 229th pick. Some smart calls, some head-scratchers, and a C+ in the wash.

Getting Douglas where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up.

In the end, a coin-flip class: fine today, with a wide range of outcomes ahead.
