Draft Grade — Jaguars
Overall B
ValueB NeedB+ TradesF FutureA+
The Jaguars let Warren fall into their laps, and walked away with a B.

The phones were a trap the Jaguars kept walking into, shipping out surplus on nearly every deal.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped wide receiver, which is a strange place to end up. Landing Warren that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. The cost of the Mukuba reach is exactly the players who went right after him.

Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.

Pick Analysis
Pick14 Rnd1 Mason Graham
In pick 14 they get a disruptive interior force, and a steal at that. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick36 Rnd2 Tyler Warren
Tyler Warren at pick No. 36 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick70 Rnd3 Andrew Mukuba
They jumped the gun on Andrew Mukuba, taking him earlier than his grade liked. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick88 Rnd3 Charles Grant
They took Charles Grant at par in the 88th overall pick, which is nothing to complain about. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick107 Rnd4 Denzel Burke
The board had cheaper options than Denzel Burke at slot 107, and it noticed. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick126 Rnd4 Kurtis Rourke
A reach on Kurtis Rourke in Round 4, Pick 24; the board had better options right there. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick142 Rnd5 Logan Brown
Logan Brown at slot 142 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick189 Rnd6 Jarquez Hunter
No edge and no loss on Jarquez Hunter in the Round 6 slot; it is a wash and a sensible one. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick194 Rnd6 Oronde Gadsden II
Oronde Gadsden II in pick No. 194 is fair value, right on his grade. The roster fit checks out.
Pick221 Rnd7 Jermari Harris
A premium they did not need to pay, Jermari Harris a notch or two before his time. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
