Draft Grade — Raiders
Overall C
ValueB- NeedB TradesD- FutureC
The Raiders found their guy under center in Mendoza: C.

If confidence were a draft strategy, the Raiders would have aced it. Kaelon Black at the 134th overall pick is 83 spots clear of where he belonged. It washes out to a C, no better and no worse.

The whole projection now runs through Fernando Mendoza; hit there and everything else looks smarter. They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. On value alone, Lance makes the weekend a net positive.

That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

If Fernando Mendoza and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.

Pick Analysis
Pick1 Rnd1 Fernando Mendoza
No edge and no loss on Fernando Mendoza in No. 1; it is a wash and a sensible one. The roster fit checks out.
Pick44 Rnd2 Max Iheanachor
They paid sticker price for Max Iheanachor in pick No. 44, and that is fine. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick49 Rnd2 Caleb Banks
They let Caleb Banks come to them and pounced at the 49th pick. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick67 Rnd3 Germie Bernard
Nice patience on Germie Bernard, who had no business lasting to the 67th overall pick. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick97 Rnd3 Daylen Everette
Value with a capital V on Daylen Everette in slot 97, a genuine coup. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick102 Rnd4 Elijah Sarratt
They barely believed it either: Elijah Sarratt still on the board at Round 4, Pick 2. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick117 Rnd4 Bryce Lance
Bryce Lance at slot 117 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick134 Rnd4 Kaelon Black
A real head-scratcher, Kaelon Black in Round 4, Pick 34 is miles ahead of his ranking. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick175 Rnd5 Ar'maj Reed-Adams
Ar'maj Reed-Adams in the 175th overall pick lands just on the right side of the ledger. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick244 Rnd7 TJ Hall
TJ Hall in pick No. 244 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
