Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Jets spent Round 7, Pick 20 on Torricelli Simpkins III, a name most had 37 spots down the list.

They will regret leaving cornerback for another day if the season turns on it. The Walker pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged.

Quarterback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. They chose more darts over a bigger single swing.
