Bolden should have been long gone. The Raiders pounced, and earned a B.

Somewhere a general manager is explaining how KJ Bolden got past him. The Raiders do not have to explain a thing at the Round 2 slot.

A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want. Harris has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.

Pick Analysis
Pick23 Rnd1 Will Echoles
In pick No. 23 they get an anchor for the defensive front, outstanding value to boot. A real need, handled.
Pick54 Rnd2 KJ Bolden
The board fumbled KJ Bolden all the way to slot 54, and they scooped it up. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick88 Rnd3 Reed Harris
Reed Harris at the 88th pick jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick124 Rnd4 Iapani Laloulu
You do not let an offensive lineman like Iapani Laloulu reach the Round 4 slot and blink. They did not. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick160 Rnd5 Koi Perich
Koi Perich in No. 160 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A want dressed up as a pick, at a spot they had covered.
Pick203 Rnd6 Jermaine Mathews Jr.
A cornerback of that caliber at the 203rd overall pick is the definition of value, full stop. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
