Draft Grade — Raiders

ValueB NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
Larceny in pick No. 158 lands the Raiders a B-, Myrick and all.

You build a draft on nights like this. Corey Myrick had no business being available in the 158th pick, and the Raiders did the only sane thing and turned in the card. A dependable weekend that grades out a B-.

They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. They are betting Jackson proves the room right and everyone else wrong.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.

Pick Analysis
Pick20 Rnd1 Will Echoles
In slot 20 they get a run-stuffing presence up front. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick56 Rnd2 T.J. Moore
T.J. Moore in the Round 2 slot is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick89 Rnd3 Reed Harris
A conviction pick on Reed Harris at pick No. 89 that the board grades a round light. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick124 Rnd4 Jayden Jackson
A big swing on Jayden Jackson at the 124th overall pick, well ahead of any board in the building. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick158 Rnd5 Corey Myrick
Somehow Corey Myrick was still sitting there in the 158th pick, and they pounced on premier safety value. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick162 Rnd5 Anthony Boswell
Anthony Boswell at No. 162 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick200 Rnd6 Earnest Greene III
A reach for Earnest Greene III in Round 6, Pick 20; a little patience would have been rewarded. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
