Draft Grade — Raiders
Overall B
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
The Raiders let Washington fall and pounced. Final grade: B.

The board owed the Raiders one, and it paid up: A'Mauri Washington, the No. 25 name on the board, sitting there at slot 87 like a gift left on the doorstep.

That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The Becker reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.

Pick Analysis
Pick20 Rnd1 Charlie Becker
In slot 20 they get a No. 1 receiver, though they paid up to get him. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick59 Rnd2 Nick Marsh
No edge and no loss on Nick Marsh in the 59th overall pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick87 Rnd3 A'Mauri Washington
A'Mauri Washington in the 87th pick is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick123 Rnd4 Samson Okunlola
You do not let an offensive lineman like Samson Okunlola reach pick 123 and blink. They did not. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick128 Rnd4 Shadre Hurst
Shadre Hurst at No. 128 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick159 Rnd5 Amare Ferrell
Taking Amare Ferrell in pick No. 159 is close to grand larceny; a safety that good had no business lasting this long. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick199 Rnd6 Jayden Bellamy
They let Jayden Bellamy come to them and pounced at the Round 6 slot. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick206 Rnd6 Jacob Ponton
Jacob Ponton at Round 6, Pick 27 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
