Grand theft in Round 7, Pick 12: the Bears steal Jones and grade out a B+.

The real work happened on the phones. The Bears fleeced their trade partners, turning their picks into a noticeably bigger pile than they started with. Call it a sensible B+, earned the boring way.

If one pick saves this weekend, it is Jones. Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

They are betting Jackson proves the room right and everyone else wrong. Rashawn Slater gives the group a proven body among the projects.

Good work on the whole, with interior defensive lineman the one box left unchecked.
