The steal of the weekend belongs to the Bears and Fashanu: A-.

Whoever sat across the table from the Bears should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend. It holds up to a second look, which is why it earns the A-.

A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want. Spending an early pick on safety with interior defensive lineman, cornerback and other spots open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to.

The Fashanu steal is the beam this whole class leans on.

Bottom line, they left the weekend a clearly better team, and they earned every bit of it.
