mstrg1024 DRAFTING FOR THEGiants

Draft Grade — Giants
Overall
A

TradesA+
FutureA+
The Giants let Ransom fall into their laps, and walked away with a A. The Giants did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Lathan Ransom fell into pick 219. Very little went wrong, and the A is earned.
They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. The Skattebo pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
Add it up and few war rooms did better this weekend, Kelvin Banks Jr. and all.
Pick Analysis
Pick8
Rnd1
Kelvin Banks Jr.
In pick 8 they get a long-term starter on the line at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick34
Rnd2
Tetairoa McMillan
Circle this one: Tetairoa McMillan at No. 34 is a fall that decides a draft. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick57
Rnd2
Trey Amos
Trey Amos in Round 2, Pick 25 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick65
Rnd3
Cam Skattebo
They left a pile of value on the table to take Cam Skattebo this early at the 65th pick. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick99
Rnd3
Elijah Arroyo
Steal is underselling it; Elijah Arroyo at slot 99 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick105
Rnd4
Jalen Milroe
A slide stopped in the 105th overall pick, with Jalen Milroe worth more than the price. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick154
Rnd5
Tyler Cooper
Value said wait; Tyler Cooper in pick No. 154 says they were not listening. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick219
Rnd7
Lathan Ransom
A safety of that caliber at the Round 7 slot is the definition of value, full stop. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick246
Rnd7
Craig Woodson
Somehow Craig Woodson was still sitting there in pick No. 246, and they pounced on premier safety value. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
