You can lose a draft before you make a pick. The Lions did it at the trade table, overpaying to chase players the board did not price nearly as high. Put together, it is a D+.

That safety hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The Tupuola-Fetui pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over.

Franklin falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. The Lions clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.

In short, the board sent warnings, and they will be hoping it was wrong.
