A costly weekend of dealing drags the Lions to a D. The rest of the league had time to spare on Andre Sam; the Lions did not wait, grabbing him 48 spots ahead at slot 254.
The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. For all the activity, linebacker went untouched, which is hard to explain. The Lions paired the rookies with proven help, Shaq Thompson leading the way.
Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, linebacker very much included.
