You build a draft on nights like this. Decamerion Richardson had no business being available in the 205th overall pick, and the Lions did the only sane thing and turned in the card. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.

They will need McGlothern to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. Job largely done: cornerback settled and 5 of 9 of the wish list covered.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
