Best value of the weekend goes to the Lions for Newton: D+.

Every swap seemed to tilt away from the Lions, and the value they bled adds up to real damage. Hard to defend, and the D+ reflects that.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped cornerback, which is a strange place to end up. If Tupuola-Fetui pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.

The Newton value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and cornerback is still a hole.
