Thirty-one other rooms let Ryan Flournoy slide, and the Lions were the ones holding the card at pick 249. Highway robbery. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

Leaving safety unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Every board in the league had Nugent lower, and that gap is the story. Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but safety.
