The Dolphins robbed the room for Slaughter. Final grade: B+. This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Jake Slaughter, the No. 55 name on the board, stolen at the 89th pick. Good, not great, and the B+ says as much.
Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
It is not that Stukes is a bad player; it is that the Dolphins had louder needs to answer first.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
