Henderson should have been long gone. The Rams pounced, and earned a C.

Somewhere a general manager is explaining how TreVeyon Henderson got past him. The Rams do not have to explain a thing at No. 90.

The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. They will need Tuten to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. For all the activity, safety went untouched, which is hard to explain.

With safety, quarterback and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on cornerback is the choice that costs them.

In the end, one you will need a couple of seasons to truly judge.

Pick Analysis
Pick31 Rnd1 Tetairoa McMillan
In No. 31 they get a go-to option on the outside, outstanding value to boot. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick39 Rnd2 Jihaad Campbell
Jihaad Campbell at the Round 2 slot is right where the board had him, plain and simple. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick52 Rnd2 Trey Amos
A clean, defensible pick in slot 52 with a little surplus value in Trey Amos. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick62 Rnd2 Jayden Higgins
A reasonable price with a little left over, Jayden Higgins in the 62nd overall pick. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick63 Rnd2 Maxwell Hairston
A want over a need in the 63rd pick: Maxwell Hairston adds a cornerback while safety, quarterback and other spots keeps waiting.
Pick72 Rnd3 Mason Taylor
They paid sticker price for Mason Taylor in pick 72, and that is fine. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick90 Rnd3 TreVeyon Henderson
A running back of that caliber at Round 3, Pick 26 is the definition of value, full stop. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick109 Rnd4 Anthony Belton
No drama and no debate, Anthony Belton went about where he belonged in pick No. 109. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick127 Rnd4 Bhayshul Tuten
A big swing on Bhayshul Tuten at the 127th pick, well ahead of any board in the building. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick190 Rnd6 Chase Lundt
Steal is underselling it; Chase Lundt at pick No. 190 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick201 Rnd6 Oronde Gadsden II
Oronde Gadsden II in pick 201 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
