The Chiefs robbed the room for Daniels. Final grade: D.

Somebody took the Chiefs to the cleaners. The deals they made bled real value, and the whole class wears it.

The McKinney pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with offensive lineman, interior defensive lineman and other spots still on the board. Leaving offensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

The Peterson pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. The Daniels pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and offensive lineman is still a hole.

In No. 16 they get a three-down runner, outstanding value to boot. A real need, handled.
Pick19 Rnd1 T.J. Parker
In slot 19 they get a premier pass rusher at fair value. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick40 Rnd2 Caleb Banks
A tidy bit of business in pick 40, where Caleb Banks graded well above the range. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick47 Rnd2 Elijah Sarratt
A straight-up fair deal on Elijah Sarratt at the 47th overall pick, value and slot in agreement. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick55 Rnd2 Brandon Cisse
Brandon Cisse at pick No. 55 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick74 Rnd3 Eli Stowers
A reasonable price with a little left over, Eli Stowers in Round 3, Pick 10. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
