The Bears found their guy under center in Maye: A-.

The Bears spent the pick that matters most on Drake Maye, and a roster that has been waiting on a passer can start to take shape. Just about everything broke right, and the A- follows.

However the rest shakes out, Washington at that price is a win they earned. The phones were where this weekend was really won.

For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain. They will need Smith to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it.

In short, they turned a good board into a better roster, and it shows.
