Maye is the plan now, and the Falcons grade out a F.

You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Falcons did exactly that with Hayden Hatten in the Round 7 slot. It bottoms out at a F.

The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. The whole projection now runs through Drake Maye; hit there and everything else looks smarter.

They punted on running back, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The bill for those future picks comes due whether the class hits or not.

The verdict is harsh because the weekend was, and there is little to argue.
