A costly weekend of dealing drags the 49ers to a D-.

They will call it conviction in the building and a reach everywhere else: Joe Milton III, 40 picks early at pick 176. The board pushed back all weekend, and the D- is the result.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. That running back hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The Sinnott value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and running back is still a hole.
