Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall B
ValueB- NeedB TradesB+ FutureB
Best value of the weekend goes to the Ravens for Carson: B.

You could see the war room lean forward. Caelen Carson at Round 4, Pick 13 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. No fireworks, but a solid B.

A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want. If Gore Jr. pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. The trade work was a quiet net positive.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.

Pick Analysis
Pick30 Rnd1 Brian Thomas Jr.
In pick No. 30 they get a home-run threat at receiver at fair value.
Pick62 Rnd2 Kingsley Suamataia
No drama and no debate, Kingsley Suamataia went about where he belonged in the Round 2 slot. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick93 Rnd3 Jalen McMillan
Jalen McMillan at No. 93 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick113 Rnd4 Caelen Carson
Somehow Caelen Carson was still sitting there in the 113th pick, and they pounced on premier cornerback value. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick152 Rnd5 Jalyx Hunt
A straight-up fair deal on Jalyx Hunt at the 152nd overall pick, value and slot in agreement. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick165 Rnd5 Javion Cohen
A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Javion Cohen. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick218 Rnd6 Frank Gore Jr.
Frank Gore Jr. in pick 218 is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick228 Rnd7 Trevin Wallace
Trevin Wallace in Round 7, Pick 8 is fair value, right on his grade. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick257 Rnd7 Jalen Coker
Fair-plus on Jalen Coker, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. The roster fit checks out.
