The Raiders finally solved quarterback, and it carried them to a B.

Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Raiders spent the Round 7 slot on Max Bredeson, a name most had 139 spots down the list.

They have staked the next five years on Fernando Mendoza, which is the only story that really matters here. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Sarratt. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
