The Seahawks let Williams fall into their laps, and walked away with a B-.

When a board-topper like Kyle Williams slides to pick 234, you do not overthink it, and the Seahawks did not.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. They trusted the board more than the depth chart.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.

Pick Analysis
Pick18 Rnd1 Nick Emmanwori
In the 18th pick they get a ballhawk on the back end. Need was not the driver here.
Pick50 Rnd2 Marcus Mbow
No drama and no debate, Marcus Mbow went about where he belonged in Round 2, Pick 18. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick52 Rnd2 Elic Ayomanor
No edge and no loss on Elic Ayomanor in slot 52; it is a wash and a sensible one. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick82 Rnd3 Elijah Arroyo
A slide stopped in the Round 3 slot, with Elijah Arroyo worth more than the price. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick92 Rnd3 Donovan Jackson
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Donovan Jackson at pick 92. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick137 Rnd4 Darius Alexander
Darius Alexander is a better player than No. 137 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. The roster fit checks out.
Pick172 Rnd5 Jonah Monheim
Jonah Monheim slipping to the 172nd overall pick is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick175 Rnd5 Tommi Hill
Tommi Hill at pick No. 175 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick223 Rnd7 Karene Reid
A linebacker of that caliber at Round 7, Pick 7 is the definition of value, full stop. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick234 Rnd7 Kyle Williams
Kyle Williams at the Round 7 slot is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
