The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Buccaneers reached some 45 spots for Devin Leary, and value like that does not grow back.

Landing Carson that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

They left with offensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
