The steal of the weekend belongs to the 49ers and James: B+.

The board owed the 49ers one, and it paid up: DJ James, the No. 53 name on the board, sitting there at the 131st overall pick like a gift left on the doorstep.

The phones were where this weekend was really won. They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it. The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own.

They left with offensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
