Draft Grade — Buccaneers

FutureB-
Grand theft in the Round 7 slot: the Buccaneers steal Jackson and grade out a B-. Call it larceny. Jha'Quan Jackson sat on the board until pick No. 246, and the Buccaneers did not need to be asked twice.
They will regret leaving interior defensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it. They are betting Davis proves the room right and everyone else wrong. They went 6 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
Pick Analysis
Pick26
Rnd1
Jackson Powers-Johnson
In pick 26 they get a blindside protector. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick57
Rnd2
Edgerrin Cooper
They read the board right and Edgerrin Cooper was the payoff at the Round 2 slot. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick89
Rnd3
Jonah Elliss
They paid sticker price for Jonah Elliss in slot 89, and that is fine. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick92
Rnd3
Ray Davis
Ray Davis in No. 92 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick125
Rnd4
Theo Johnson
A straight-up fair deal on Theo Johnson at the 125th pick, value and slot in agreement. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick220
Rnd6
Ro Torrence
A cornerback of that caliber at pick No. 220 is the definition of value, full stop. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick246
Rnd7
Jha'Quan Jackson
Taking Jha'Quan Jackson in Round 7, Pick 26 is close to grand larceny; a wide receiver that good had no business lasting this long. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
