Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Gunnar Helm got past him. The Steelers do not have to explain a thing at No. 225. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. On the needs board they went 4 of 9, with interior defensive lineman the one that mattered most. The offense got the lion's share of the attention.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
