Good, not great, for the Packers: B-.

Somehow the biggest item on the list survived the weekend. The Packers never addressed quarterback, and it is the kind of gap that lingers.

They are betting Bortolini proves the room right and everyone else wrong. They left with edge rusher solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.

Pick Analysis
Pick25 Rnd1 Chop Robinson
In pick 25 they get a problem off the edge. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick41 Rnd2 Cooper Beebe
By-the-book stuff, Cooper Beebe at the Round 2 slot squarely in line with his ranking. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick58 Rnd2 Jeremiah Trotter Jr.
They paid a round early for Jeremiah Trotter Jr. in the 58th pick, more than the board wanted. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick88 Rnd3 Calen Bullock
Fair-plus on Calen Bullock, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick91 Rnd3 Dominick Puni
No edge and no loss on Dominick Puni in slot 91; it is a wash and a sensible one. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick126 Rnd4 Jarrian Jones
The board had cheaper options than Jarrian Jones at pick No. 126, and it noticed. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick169 Rnd5 Tanor Bortolini
A big swing on Tanor Bortolini at No. 169, well ahead of any board in the building. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick202 Rnd6 Garret Greenfield
Garret Greenfield in Round 6, Pick 27 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick219 Rnd6 Michael Barrett
A conviction pick on Michael Barrett at pick No. 219 that the board grades a round light. Insurance at a position that did not really ask for it.
Pick245 Rnd7 Jalen Sundell
Jalen Sundell in the Round 7 slot is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It fills a real need, too.
Pick255 Rnd7 Kimani Vidal
Kimani Vidal at No. 255 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the running back. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
