The board owed the Broncos one, and it paid up: Lathan Ransom, the No. 107 name on the board, sitting there at the 191st pick like a gift left on the doorstep. It holds up to a second look, which is why it earns the A-.

Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up.

It is a haul that will look even better come September.
