Somebody in the 229th overall pick was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Steelers sat still while Bhayshul Tuten, the No. 153 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.

Reaching for West left real value on the table behind him. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through safety.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with quarterback chief among the fixes.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but safety.
