After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Commanders committed. Caleb Williams is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline.

The Singer pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped tight end, which is a strange place to end up.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but tight end.

In slot 2 they get their quarterback of the future at fair value. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick34 Rnd2 Taliese Fuaga
Taliese Fuaga slid further than he should have, and the 34th overall pick is lovely value for the offensive lineman. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick42 Rnd2 Kamari Lassiter
By-the-book stuff, Kamari Lassiter at Round 2, Pick 10 squarely in line with his ranking. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.

Quietly one of the better values of the day, Quinyon Mitchell at pick 66. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.

Nothing to complain about; Dominick Puni went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.

Marshawn Kneeland in the 102nd pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.

Mohamed Kamara at the Round 5 slot is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. A need, and now a little less of one.

Value with a capital V on Zy Alexander in No. 180, a genuine coup. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
